Beautiful, timely, needed. Remembering our shared humanity and that we're all made in God's image is the way.

So Lovely ❤️ It’s so true. In college as a history major and then documentary minor I learned about many examples where dehumanization is the last stop before civil wars erupt, genocides eat generations, etc. We cannot lose sight of each other’s humanity. We need more of this Jami, and everyone. We have to stay together 🫂

Jami, dear heavens. Your words. The heart He gave you. We need you to keep going, to keep noticing, to keep telling us. Thank you.🩷

(Also - this post is so much of my belief system summarized beautifully. We miss so much preciousness when we don’t see each other as valuable. Lemme tell you about the time we became dear friends with the lady who served us every week at our BBQ lunch spot… and how our tiny church - 5 families - ended up helping fund her daughter’s lung transplant. What a gift He had for us, but we would have missed it if we saw her as a machine and not a precious sister.😭)

Love this. It’s so hard to be a human right now no matter what side of the aisle you’re on.

This was so fun & uplifting to read. I work in customer service & let me tell you, people can be challenging. I also live in an area that is about 86% Hispanic to which a large percentage are Spanish speaking only. I speak what I like to call Spanglish (I can get by). Every day I have those challenging people but over the yrs I have ask God to be his hand & feet. It is amazing how when you really look for peoples humanity, not only do I see them but they see me trying to help them. They soften, I soften & it is almost always a good experience. They often ask for the “little white girl” when they come again because they know I will do everything I can to help them.

Thank you for the encouragement today. Let’s all try to see each others nephesh today 💜

So well written. I wished for a photo of each of those precious humans that you came across! The last one of the air stewardess was heartwarming.

Beautiful! Having honest/important conversation AND seeing the image of God in others. It doesn’t need to be a choice between the two. I think this is such an important message. Sometimes it feels like the two culturally accepted options are to hate/attack each other or just never speak of politics. We can do hard things.

More of this, all! We are not as divided as the media wants us to think. When we step out into the real world and engage with real people we will learn lessons like these for the good of ourselves and others and the glory of God ♥️

Thank you for your words. Your reminder to stay soft hearted and listen to people’s stories encourages my heart today. I shared it with my 10 yr old daughter and we both felt better after reading❤️
