PREACH. Reminds me of what Bryan Stevenson talks about in Just Mercy- the power of proximity. By getting close to those on death row it grew his compassion and reminded him these are image bearing human beings too.

When they find out their child is gay or their husband is addicted to porn or the Holy Spirit shows them the depth of their pride, and they have people erase them, we will be here with open arms, ready to welcome them into the land of outcasts where grace holds more meaning and value than the ocean holds water.

People who have led completed charmed lives are often superficial and unable to sympathize with others, and usually have an unrealistically high estimation of their own endurance, patience, and strength."
God is saving us from superficiality and pride - what a gift to be grateful for!!
