I saw a video on FB of someone making iced sugar cookies shaped and decorated like this couple on the Jumbotron. Something about this all is gross, and I feel so terribly for all of them, even in their poor choices. Thank you for your perspective.

Yes! After the first one or two posts I saw, I thought “this is going to get out of hand real fast” and had to check myself and my husband to make sure we weren’t fueling it any further. Thank you for this perspective!

I guess I live under a rock but I haven’t seen the photo or any memes. Sad that the affair happened. Sad that people are laughing about it. Sad also that there are people laughing about the human beings detained in alligator Alcatraz. Sad that evil is found to be funny, and that people on both sides of the political spectrum who “claim” the Name of Christ seem to have forgotten what His grace cost Him on the cross. A stark illustration once again of just how undeserving we are of that grace. God forgive us and have mercy.

I really appreciate this perspective. It gave me a lot to chew on. I'm not sure I see it on the level of alligator alcatraz, but I find that comparison very interesting to think about. I don't find anything funny about what happened, nor do I wish for the CEO to be "stoned" or denied mercy. Yet, I have been amused by the memes etc. that circulated after- primarily the ones that are photo shopped to be something OTHER than the COE. After reading this, I feel more convicted about that, but I don't know if I'm all the way there. I always appreciate your heart and your truth, Jami. Thanks for always sharing when we need it most.
