Well now I’m crying because as a fellow thrifter I get this 100%. Also made me want to hit up my thrift faves and go give them a big hug. Thank you for sharing this and your heart. What a beautiful reminder for us to see others today and remind them how loved they are.

This is a testimony I needed today! I saw God at the swim meet today when my autistic son completed his first races. Hopes I’ve had for a long time that felt so far off… God opened the door today. Finally, the fruit after SO MUCH tending. Thank you for making me take time to take note!!

I signed up for Substack just so I could like and comment ☺️. I love everything about this and you’re right! We still need to be told Jesus loves us even if we’ve been a follower for a long time 😭. I was just giving myself a pep talk today and quoting my old pastor when he would say, “Jesus is ‘gooder’ than we think.” Also, my thermos was coffee cups since I leave them and break them all over the farm. And I got some today at a thrift store.

Such a good reminder.

Isn't it so true- God IS watching over and providing for us, even when we are in a tizzy, freaking out over everything, stressing and bringing in the grey hairs faster than they should.

Thank you for this reminder.

Love the depiction of your day. I spent my day today exploring second hand stores and Goodwill at a leisurely pace all by myself. It was a heavenly kind of day. Found a sweet vintage Easter card in an old frame and other treasures I didn't know I needed until I found them. At one store, there was a Jami-style framed print with a handprinted quote that made me laugh and think of you. You would have loved it. A woman broke something at the Goodwill and the staff there were genuinely sweet about it, too. I ended my day at church where my husband teaches a citizenship class. We were celebrating one of his students who had a successful appointment yesterday---passing the interview with flying colors and attending the Citizen Ceremony shortly after. I saw Jesus in her as she shared her experience with other hope-filled students.

So glad you shared this with us. I needed an encouraging post to read. I think when we hear about the little ways God shows up for someone else it reminds us of the times he’s done that for us too.

I've written a piece about the spirituality of my voluntary job at a UK charity shop called "Not just bags of stuff." Love that you're seeing the spiritual here too! xx
