i don't agree with some of what you post that is political in nature, but i do ALWAYS appreciate that you speak your convictions, that your words are seasoned with salt and that you are after our great God <3.
Thank you for your words and wisdom. I feel like I could speak to you for hours and hours on this if only I could speak to you in person. So just thank you for sharing so honestly and humbly.
I have also felt a looming sense of civil war since the election. I pray I’m wrong and repentance comes before more lives are lost but I think people are too blind to see.
I have prayed I am wrong too but the Lord will not let the word leave me. The good news of justice is that it comes for those who are unjust, not the innocent. I only pray it happens swiftly and we find God merciful in the midst.
The discernment that the Lord is giving you is clearly painful for you to hear and receive, and also painful for you to share, but we need you to share it. There are too many of us who are exiles alongside you that need encouragement and wisdom. I am genuinely praying for you.
I do find the idea of justice encouraging. And I hope that people don't think it's all doom and gloom. It is encouraging in a sense that God will not let His name be taken in vain and he will avenge it with a just hand for the wicked. Not those harmed by the wicked.
I’ve steeped myself in Revelation this year. Not figuring out timelines or matching it to current events, just understanding that this is a word to the church in the midst of a world that is falling apart: hold on. Those who hold on are counted victorious with Christ and we inherit a mind-blowing redeemed world finally with Him. Hold on.
Jami, thank you for sharing what God has laid on your heart. I appreciate you sharing a warning, but also reminding us that no matter what happens in the world, our hope is in the Lord, and we should look to Him for our foundation. That warning does not mean we should fear the future. The “us” and “them” mentality is so divisive in the church, and in our communities as a whole. I’m praying that individuals examine their own hearts more than judge the actions of their neighbors. (Myself included!!)
Yes, the idea of justice in the Bible was welcomed bc it was GOOD for the people. We don't need to be afraid if we are participating in goodness. It should be the wicked who tremble at using God's name in vain for power and oppression. Never turns out well for them!
Praying with for the souls of all of us- no matter what side of the aisle we fall on. Let it be in the Kingdom of God side 🥺

Right, if only we read revelation with the right lens. It is so encouraging. Justice is good, not something to be afraid of.
