Okay, this is for the bustier Betty’s out there, though I’m sure anyone could find the info valuable as far as no underwire goes. I truly do not wear an underwire bra unless it’s a dressy function and I have no other option. However, I would like to find alternatives, as underwire isn’t good for lymph nodes and blood flow.
Also this is so uncomfortable showing pictures of myself but it’s how I buy my bras! I need to be able to see if they’re around the same shape as me! So I hope this isn’t TMI. Please delete from your emails asap! I would be mortified if your spouse or children saw this LOL.
Did you know: You want your bra to be able to go on the loosest setting when you buckle the back. As the bra stretches, you want to be able to tighten it over time. By the time you get to the last tightening, it’s probably time for a new bra soon!
Warners Smoothing from target was first up. It ran a little big around the ribcage, so you might try this on in the store and see if you need to size it down. I like that there was no lean over overflow and that it was comfy! It had nice separation of the ladies--I hate a UNIBOOB vibe unless it’s a sports bra. It looked nice with a shirt over it. And it didn't do the weird underboob fold thing. The nice thick support around the rib cage was key! Bonus, it’s a convertible, so you can cross back!
Auden/True Everybody V neck from target: Very comfortable. However, I had to tighten the shoulder straps so much, I can't see this having longevity as you wear it and possible stretches. It also had no clasps, you pick S-XXL. The straps were so thick going up towards the shoulder that it showed in a couple cute tops I had. I would say this could work for just every day around the house under a t-shirt, but isn’t going to last very long and is limited in what you can wear on top. . Also, no bewb separation in a shirt. Just looked like a unibewb again! THe fabric is def a SKMMS dupe, and was a nice feeling.
Warners easy does it from amazon. It was fine, comfortable I guess, but I wasn’t impressed for the higher price point and still had a uniboob. You can get a cheaper one at target for the meh factor. Was just OK.
Skimms, crossover bralette: Little support, was falling out of it. It's a VERY comfortable fabric. Could work if you’re smaller breasted! Not for us larger ladies though. Don’t recommend it. Thankful for the 30 day return policy.
Skimms Naked Plunge tank bra: I literally yelled, “WHOA!” when I put it on. Feels amazing! Supportive, lean over and stay in, comes with clasps in the back which is important to me. Just amazing all around!! I don’t think it separated the ladies as much as I wanted but this bra is such a keeper! WOW. They have lots of options so find what’s right for you.

I do have the soma enbliss bralette already and they are super comfy, but something about the fabric makes me sweat more than any other bra. I wish it were not so, because it is such a comfy everyday wear. I wanted to try the wireless enbliss bra, but again, I already know the fabric isn’t going to suit me. Definitely worth going in store and trying on if you don’t want to pay for skimms. But beware, your sweaty Betty’s. HA!
End of the day, I kept 1 and 5 and am super happy with them both! PHEW. Now who is going to send these back for me, lol. I hate going to the post office!
Hope this helps you! But always remember, the best research is the kind you do yourself. So get out there and figure out what’s best for you! And tell me if I’m missing one of your favorites. ♥️
